Fall Festivals and Events

When our landscape transforms itself into that incomparable blaze of colour, Ontario turns itself into a cornucopia of fun-filled festivals – everything from fall fairs to harvest festivals, art tours and music.

Witness an exciting carriage race at the Royal Winter Agricultural Fair in Toronto. Try to lift a pumpkin that weighs a ton (literally) at Port Elgin’s Pumpkinfest. Savour everything cranberry – wine, jams, pies, fudge and more at the Bala Cranberry Festival. Combine a fall colour tour with art and browse for treasures on studio tours throughout the province – Muskoka, the Kawarthas, Merrickville and others.

Toast the fruit of the vine at the Niagara Wine Festival – a 10-day event with tours, tastings and musical events. Dig into a bratwurst, raise a stein and have a merry old time at Kitchener-Waterloo’s Oktoberfest. Enjoy a wide selection of luxurious food, beverage and culinary selections at the TASTE! event at the Crystal Palace in Picton, east of Toronto. Head to the Rogers Centre in Toronto and revel in song, dance and colourful regalia at the Canadian Aboriginal Festival.

Bid adieu to monarch butterflies and hundreds of bird species as they head south from Point Pelee National Park during the fall migration.
