Travel within Ontario is easy. Ontario is laced with a network of regional and national airline routes, railways, bus routes and ferries. If you are heading to more remote locations, you can book a charter flight. Airports and airlines also provide speedy travel to other parts of Canada, and overseas. Car rental companies or airport taxi and shuttle services typically operate at most major airports in Ontario.

Airports
The main international gateway is Toronto Pearson International Airport (airport code YYZ), which has three terminals, serving customers travelling within Canada, to the U.S. and international destinations. Another major airport is Ottawa International Airport (YOW).

Taxis and Airport Shuttles
Taxi and airport shuttle services offer transportation to and from major airports in Ontario. Toronto Transit Commission operates an all-day express bus service from Pearson airport to Kipling Station on the Bloor-Yonge subway line.

Rail Lines
Trains offer passenger service throughout much of Ontario, with express service available between larger cities on most routes. The two key services are Via Rail and Ontario Northland.

Buses
Bus lines offer service to many cities and towns throughout Ontario. Intercity bus routes are offered by GO Transit. Larger cities and towns offer public transit service.

Public Transport
OC Transpo, Ottawa, operates a major public transit network that includes rapid service from the train station, International Airport, and bus station to the city centre. In Toronto, subway, bus and streetcars operated by the TTC link all of the downtown and major tourist attractions.

Car Rental Services
Most major car rental agencies have kiosks at major airports.
